Upgrade Your Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just weeks away. We will gather around the dinner table with family and friends to create memories and share a meal. The same, heavy, predictable food we see every year. Are you as tired of the same Thanksgiving meal as we are?

Don’t get us wrong, there is nothing like the sleepy euphoria one feels after turkey, piles of mashed potatoes, and slices of whipped cream covered pie. But if you have diet restrictions, are looking for lighter options, or just have a more adventurous palate, traditional Thanksgiving dishes might not be that appealing. We challenge you to do something different, buck tradition, and be unique. Like we said, Thanksgiving flavors are delicious, but the ways the flavors are used aren’t written in concrete. If you are preparing the entire meal, or bringing a dish to pass, we want to hear how you have taken holiday flavors outside the box. Up for the challenge but don’t know where to begin? We have some great suggestions for inspiration.

Turkey is often the main event. But it is also time-consuming and oven monopolizing. Spend more time spilling the tea and less time worrying about dry turkey. This recipe for Rosemary and Garlic Roasted Salmon only takes 12 minutes to cook and can be paired nicely with other Thanksgiving mainstays like sweet potatoes and corn.
