Stay At Home Spa Day

We all could use some serious de-stressing and relaxation. To help with that, we’ve put together a simple and soothing list of services you can re-create at home for a rejuvenating spa day.

Mood

Let’s start of by setting the proper mood. Candles and fluffy robes are a good start, but listening to gently crashing waves, nature sounds, or your favorite artist is a great way to unplug from the chaos and find your inner calm. YouTube and Spotify have tons of great spa sounds and relaxing playlists.

What is a spa experience without fancy water or a relaxing herbal tea? Make your own flavored sparking water or infused refresher. Need a little snack? Whip up some easy tea sandwiches or Chai Tea and Toasted Marshmallow Cookies.

Hair

Show your tresses some love. With the heat styling and product beating they take on a daily basis, help restore some of the moisture and shine with a natural hair mask.

2 Tbsp Coconut Oil, melted
3 drops rosemary essential oil
3 drops lavender essential oil

Mix the essential oils into the coconut oil and let cool until firm. With damp hair, work a small amount of the mask into your locks, avoiding the scalp. Wrap hair with either a shower cap, or an old towel. Let the mask sit for 30 minutes and rinse with warm water. Feel free to customize with your favorite essential oils.

Face

While your hair is wrapped with the mask, cleanse your face with your normal cleanser. Pat dry and apply this soothing and softening face mask in a gentle circular motion. Let mask work its magic for 10-15 minutes. For a spa experience straight out of the movies, apply some de-puffing slices of cucumber to your eyes while you wait. This is when that playlist will really come in handy!

Feet

There is nothing better than a nice warm foot bath to help ease tension. Fill your foot bath or a small tub with warm water and add 1 tsp of your favorite oil blend, like our Serenity or Sleep Easy. For some added moisturizing benefits, add a little dry milk. Follow up your soak with a rejuvenating, exfoliating sugar scrub.

Hands

Once your feet are soaked and scrubbed, and hair and face are rinsed, give your hardworking hands some pampering. Using the same exfoliating sugar scrub you used earlier on your feet, gently scrub your hands, paying special attention to the rougher spots. Once the scrub has been rinsed off, pat dry hands and apply some Lavender Hand Balm. This rich and soothing formula not only smells great, it will restore hydration to rough skin.
